Chocolate Cake with Chocolate and Peanut Butter Frosting

Ingredients: 


To make this yummy Chocolate Cake with Chocolate and Peanut Butter Frosting you will neef :

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar 
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 2 large eggs 
  • 1 cup milk 
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 
  • 1 cup boiling water 


Instructions: 


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans. 


In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. 


Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. 


Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing continuously. The batter will be thin, but that's okay. 


Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. 


Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean. 


Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and place them on a wire rack to cool completely. 


Peanut Butter Cream Frosting: 


Peanut Butter Cream Ingredients :

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter 
  • 2 cups powdered sugar 
  • 1/4 cup milk (adjust as needed) 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

Chocolate Frosting Ingredients : 

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 cup milk (adjust as needed) 


Instructions: 


In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth. 


Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. 


Add the milk and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until the frosting is smooth and creamy. Adjust the milk quantity as needed to achieve your desired consistency. 


Repeat process for chocolate frosting 


Assembly: 


Place one of the cooled chocolate cakes on a serving plate or cake stand. 


Spread a generous layer of peanut butter cream frosting over the top of the first cake layer. 


Place the second cake layer on top of the frosting. 


Frost the top and sides of the cake with the chocolate frosting.
